20080126 HARSH: Back To One

HARSH

Message Series: HARSH

There are times when Jesus is pretty harsh with certain groups of people. What's up with that and how does it connect with us?

backtoone
Message Title: Back To One (Msg 3)

Message Summary: There is how we appear to be on the outside and how we actually are on the inside. What do we do when those two aren’t aligned with each other? How do we allow God to bring us back to being one?

Vancouver Sun Run 2008

2008SUNRUN-PIX01

Post Run UPDATE

Our Sun Run Team finished 3rd place in our team category! I’ve talked to many who participated and they all had a big smile. It was cold, but the spirit and fun was real. We were part of setting a new attendance record of over 59,000! Next year, the 25th anniversary run, I’m already committed to do my part to swell the numbers to exceed 65,000. That way we’ll continue to be the biggest 10k in Canada and we may even become the biggest in North America. So plan now for April 19, 2009. Walk it. Run it. Just join our wonderful team!

Pastor Jim

Pre-Race Information

A message from the Team Captain

It doesn't matter how fast you walk or run at this event or even if you cheer from the sidelines, you won't regret being part of Canada's largest 10k event, and the memorable experience shared with other Creeksiders. I'll never forget getting a "high 5" from Pastor Colin at the finish line, or seeing my 6 month old niece happily bundled up in a jogging stroller pushed by her exhausted but triumphant mother. And of course the humorous smack talk and challenges among friends on the team!

Joining the C3 team offers many advantages, including delivery of race bibs and shirts right to you instead of standing in line downtown to pick them up - not to mention a souvenir T-shirt with the Creekside logo proudly displayed on the back. There are both new and expert runners on our team so you can find the encouragement and advice you need. Even if you register as an individual or as part of another school or work team, you can still be an honorary member of ours. If you need more info, or a call from someone to hold you accountable to your goals, don't hesitate to contact me, Rhoda. (rklein@scienceworld.ca)

How to join our team

New to Running?

If you haven't run for 3 months or longer, the following training program is a 13-week tried and proven program developed by professionals. The focus is to train gradually in order to avoid injury and give the body time to adapt to the stress of running or walking. Training this way it will only take 3 hours a week to realize your goal.

20080105 Power UP!

PowerUP

Message: Power UP!

We tend to Power UP on people when things get rough. Paying others back feels so good even though we know how miserable it feels when someone powers UP on us. There has to be a better way!
