How To Help With The Tsunami Disaster In Asia

We have all seen the surreal images on the TV, Internet, and newspapers or even heard audio feeds from radio news reports of the Tsunami in Asia. I personally have felt helpless watching people like us, being swept away by the power of the relentless waters. Hearing survivors stories, looking at images of orphaned children, the hundreds of bodies being buried in unmarked graves. What can one person do to help? Can I do more than pray and witness from afar the tragedy of those people's lives? The answer is Yes.

For those of you who wish to contribute financial aid to an organization who is directly helping in this disaster here is a link to Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA). This organization helps in serving those people who are poor, and in distress either by a natural disaster, whether that be a famine, drought, earthquakes etc. among others. This website speaks in better detail of who they are, what is their history, and so on. Click here to learn what they are doing right now in Asia.

Let's pull together as a community and continue to help those who simply can not help themselves in the way we are able. Ask yourself, what if the Tsunami hit our home? What if we were left with nothing but the clothes on our backs and watched our family and friends being washed away?

Thanks everyone for taking the time to read this and please mention this organization or others that are helping in Asia that you may know of to your friends and family.

Much care,
